SQL toolkit and object relational mapper for Python
SQLAlchemy is a SQL toolkit and object relational mapper for Python. It
encourages "relational mapping" as opposed to "table mapping" and includes
enterprise-level features such as eager loading, unit-of-work object commits,
topological dependency sorting, and full usage of bind parameters. It
supports MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, and SQLite.
SQLAlchemy is licensed under an MIT-style license (see LICENSE).
Other incorporated projects may be licensed under different licenses.
All licenses allow for non-commercial and commercial use.
python setup.py install
SVN checkouts also inlcude setup.cfg file allowing setuptools to create
an svn-tagged build.
Documentation is available in HTML format in the ./doc/ directory.
Documentation exists in its original format as Markdown files in the ./content directory.
To generate documentation:
This generates the Markdown files into Myghty templates as an interim step and then into HTML. It also
creates two pickled datafiles corresponding to the table of contents and all the generated docstrings
for the SQLAlchemy sourcecode.
