Upstart is a replacement for the traditional sysvinit package, and
runs as process #1. While it is eventually intended to be used to
create a completely event-driven boot process, we are currently
only using it to emulate the original sysvinit behaviour.
This gives us the maximum amount of testing of the code and concepts
behind it, while retaining the ability to fallback to sys
upstart (0.6.6-1) unstable; urgency=low
* New upstream release.
- Mount /proc and /sys on initialisation. Closes: #577710
- Since version 0.6.5 upstart no longer includes a internal copy of libnih
but instead depends on it being installed system wide.
- Provide a separate function to reconnect to the D-Bus system bus which
can be triggered by the SIGUSR1 signal as a conf
