omniORB4 is a freely available Common Object Request Broker
Architecture (CORBA) 2.6 compliant object request broker (ORB)
implementation. It is based on the IIOP communications
protocol and should be interoperable with any other
CORBA 2.6 compliant ORB.
This includes the documentation.
This example is almost identical to the call_back example, except that
it uses bidirectional GIOP for the callback. See the README file in
that directory for an explanation of what the programs do.
For it to work, make sure that you have the following configuration
acceptBiDirectionalGIOP = 1
serverTransportRule = "* unix,tcp,bidir"
This example demonstrates the following features of omniORB and CORBA:
o use of call-backs
o use of threads for asynchronous processing
o use of IDL modules
o orderly shutdown of a server, cleaning up resources
It consists of three programs:
o cb_server - a server application
o cb_client - you'll never guess ...
o cb_shutdown - initiates shutdown of the serve

of "The omniORB User's Guide".
1. eg1 - collocated object implementation and client
2. eg2_clt, eg2_impl - the object implementation and the client are in
different address spaces. The client obtains the
stringified object reference from the command line.
This directory contains sample programs which demonstrate features
