What is it?
Ant is a Java based build tool. In theory it is kind of like "make"
without makes wrinkles and with the full portability of pure java code.
Why another build tool when there is already make, gnumake, nmake, jam,
and others? Because all of those tools have limitations tha
ant - a Java based make tool.
ant [OPTIONS] [TARGET [TARGET2 [TARGET3] ...]]
Like make ant is a tool by which projects can be build. But
unlike it, ant is based on Java which means it will run on
every platform for which a Java Virtual Machine is available.
