tiny/turbo/throttling HTTP server (utilities)
thttpd is a small, fast secure webserver. It features CGI support,
URL-traffic-based throttling and basic authentication. thttpd has a very small
memory footprint as it only forks itself in order to execute CGI scripts. It is
designed to be as fast as fully featured web-servers and it performs extremely
well under high load.
This package contains various support utilities for thttpd web-server.

For security reasons, the makeweb(1) program is not setgid, which basically
makes it unusable for nonprivileged users. Change it at your own risk.
The CGI programs thttpd-util places in /usr/lib/cgi-bin are not statically
linked by default, which can cause problems when using them in a restricted
environment (read: when using the "chroot" option in t
makeweb - create user web directory
makeweb [ -d webdir ]
This program allows users to create their own web subdirecto‐
ries off of the main web directory.
-d Specify the root directory for new user directories.
The default directory is /var/
thtpasswd - manipulate HTTP-server password files
thtpasswd [-c] passwordfile username
Sets a user's password in an httpd-style password file. The
-c flag creates a new file.
