infinote-based collaborative editing - development files
libinfinity is library to build collaborative text editors. Changes
to the text buffers are synced to all other clients over a central server.
Even though a central server is involved, the local user sees his changes
applied instantly and the merging is done on the individual clients.
This package contains the C headers of libinfinity and all files needed
to link applications dependening on this library.
infinote consists of the following parts:
Library implementing the core infinote part
Simple stand-alone infinote server application
Provides glib main loop integration and GTK+ widgets related to libinfinity
Infinote plugin implementing real-time collaborative text editing
Implements the InfTextBuffer in
libinfinity for Debian
Please note that this library is not yet API- and ABI-stable. This is also
true for the XMPP-based wire protocol it implements. Please be in touch
with the developers if you are developing an application based on it
and with me if you are packaging it for Debian or Ubuntu, so that you
can be kept in the loop.
