Hierarchical Data Format 5 (HDF5) - runtime files - serial version
HDF5 is a file format and library for storing scientific data.
HDF5 was designed and implemented to address the deficiencies of
HDF4.x. It has a more powerful and flexible data model, supports
files larger than 2 GB, and supports parallel I/O.
This package contains runtime files for serial platforms.
libhdf5 for Debian
You can see what options hdf5 is compiled with in /usr/lib/libhdf5.settings
(in one of the 3 development packages).
You can now install several hdf5 versions simultaneously. The SONAME of
the library is now changed automatically at every release. However, you
will be unable to run software linked dynamically to libhdf5 on a
non-Debian system unless you setup
