MIT Kerberos runtime libraries

Kerberos is a system for authenticating users and services on a network. Kerberos is a trusted third-party service. That means that there is a third party (the kerberos server) that is trusted by all the entities on the network (users and services, usually called "principals").

This is the MIT reference implementation of Kerberos5.

MIT Kerberos for Debian

MIt distributes the Kerberos sources a series of PGP-signed tarballs
tarred up into a single .tar file.  In order to create the Debian
Original upstream sources (.orig.tar.gz), I checked the PGP signatures
and untarred all the .tar.gz files, repacking the resulting krb5-1.2.1

Unpacking the Source Distribution

The source distribution of Kerberos 5 comes in a gzipped tarfile,
krb5-1.3.5.tar.gz.  Instructions on how to extract the entire
distribution follow.

If you have the GNU tar program and gzip installed, you can simply do:

	gtar zxpf krb5-1.3.5.t
