ltmodem alternative driver providing support for Agere WinModem
Martian is software to serve the Agere Systems PCI WinModem under Linux.
These are modems built on DSP 164x (Mars) series and major IBM ThinkPad A20
and many T20 series
Project is established in the course of Linmodems group helping efforts
Martian is an alternative to the ltmodem and provides Linux support for Agere WinModem hardware. Major difference is that core moved to the user space.
Driver comprises two parts:
martian_dev - kernel module to configure devices, and serve irqs from it
martian_modem - user mode application to supply major IO, buffers,
user level streams.

The Debian martian-modem source package provides two packages,
1) martian-modem, which the provides the userspace daemon
2) martian-modem-source, which provides the source for the kernel modules
