tools for HP DeskJet printer
These tools allow the user to make better use of HP's DeskJet line of
printers. They permit the user to send commands to the printer as well as
make better use of the HP DeskJet's text modes.
These programs were written for the HP DeskJet 500 series but should work
with all printers that understand HP PCL.
djtools for DEBIAN
/usr/share/doc/djtools/filter contains my printer filter with djscript for text
output. For simplicity I've only added the options you have to use.

Both hptools and djscript have been extensively modified from the upstream
source so they compile cleanly.

djscript - A text formatter for the HP DeskJet printer.
The tool's purpose is to make better use of the HP DeskJet's
text modes. On one hand djscript enables the user to easily
choose the different text modes of the DeskJet. On the

hpset — printer commands
hpset [-hco] [commands ...]
hpset is used to send commands to a printer. These commands are
synonyms for ESC Codes based on the PCL standard from Hewlet
