Extract DNS zones from LDAP trees
This is a tool that reads info for a zone from LDAP and constructs
a standard plain ascii zone file. The LDAP information has to be
stored using the dnszone schema.
ldap2zone for Debian
This program extract dns record from ldap and create zone files for bind9.
If you want your zone definitions to be automatically created :
- Create an empty named.conf.ldap2zone in /etc/bind
- Add this line to /etc/bind/named.conf.local

ldap2zone - convert zones saved inside the LDAP to bind9 zone
ldap2zone zone-name LDAP-URL default-ttl [serial]
Convert zones saved in LDAP to ordinary zones files via
ldap2zone in order to avoid dependencies from LDAP to bind.
ldap2zone (0.1-7+squeeze1) stable-proposed-updates; urgency=low
* Non-maintainer upload.
* Include half the patch from #653053 to silence the cronjob on success, to
avoid excessive emails and instead log this with syslog.
The full patch has been accepted by the maintainer and is already in
wheezy and sid in version 0.2-2. (Closes: #653053)
