WindowMaker dockapp that shows your current weather
wmweather provides a monitor on a 64x64 mini window that displays the current
weather. The weather reports are received from NOAA's National Weather
Service at http://www.nws.noaa.gov/
, that is the same source that pilots use.
wmweather is designed to work with the WindowMaker dock, but will work with
other window managers as well. xbase-clients are required for the left click
to bring up the complete METAR record. wmweather's upstream homepage can be
found at http://people.debian.org/~godisch/wmweather/.
On Debian systems, install the Debian package: type
# dpkg -i wmweather_*.deb
# apt-get install wmweather
Otherwise you have to compile the program first: change into the src/
$ ./configure --help
# make install
as root. The program may be uninstalled using one of the comm
WMWEATHER(1) Version 2.4.4 WMWEATHER(1)
wmweather - dockable weather monitor
wmweather -s <4-char ICAO location indicator> [options]
wmweather monitors local weather conditions: temperature, dew
point, pressure, humidity and wind direction and speed. The
user needs to specify a 4-character `ICAO loc
