This package contains the toolchain binutils. It is separate only for build reasons, you'll need all the mingw* packages to actually build anything.
This package currently should be considered experimental. It is however useful enough in it's present form that I've placed it in the main archive for people to use. There are known issues both with the compiler and with fhs compliance of gcc cross compilers in general, all of which will be addressed as suitable solutions are found.
