SnapPea is a computational tool for creating and studying hyperbolic
3-manifolds. This package provides headers suitable for compiling the
SnapPea kernel into other projects.
SnapPea Development Files for Debian
The SnapPea kernel is provided in the shared library
/usr/lib/libsnappea.so. The corresponding headers can be found in

SnapPea File Formats
Strictly speaking, the SnapPea kernel is platform independent and
defines no file formats. Nevertheless, while writing the Macintosh
SnapPea UI I tried to design file formats which would be suitable
on all platforms (Macintosh, Windows & Unix). In particular, all
SnapPea files are standard text files. I strongly encourage the use
of these file formats on all platforms. Th

to begin, you should
(1) Read SnapPea.h. This is technically not part of the
kernel, but rather the protocol for how the kernel
and the UI should communicate.
(2) Read triangulation.h. It describes the data structure
which SnapPea uses to pass manifolds from one module
