The S-Lang programming library - runtime version

S-Lang is a C programmer's library that includes routines for the rapid development of sophisticated, user friendly, multi-platform applications.

This package contains only the shared library* and copyright information. It is only necessary for programs that use this library (such as jed and slrn). If you plan on doing development with S-Lang, you will need the companion -dev package as well.

Package version:2.2.2-4


New features and upgrade information for version 2 are described in
the appendices of doc/text/slang.txt and doc/text/cslang.txt.  If you
upgrading from version 1, then you should read these appendices.

One final note: The license for the library has changed to the GNU
Public License.  The Perl Artistic License is no longer supported.

Interpreter Enhancements

   1.  The ternary expression was added:  
           expression = condition ? val1 : val2

       If condition is non-zero, then expression = val1, 
        otherwise expression = val2

   2.  The break and condition statements support an optional integer
