Guake is a drop-down terminal for GNOME Desktop Environment, so you just
need to press a key to invoke him, and press again to hide.
Guake supports hotkeys, tabs, background transparent, etc.

Guake is a dropdown terminal made for the GNOME desktop
environment. Its style of window is based on an fps games, and one of
its goals is be easy to reach.
Guake is written mostly in python and has a little piece in C (global
hotkey stuff). The code is placed in the src directory. Files and
images are in the data directory. If you're looking for
changes since 0.4.2:
- Better tab titling, based on VTE title sequences (Aleksandar
Krsteski & Max Ulidtko)
- Some drag & drop support (Max Ulidtko)
- Fix for the many times reported "gconf proxy port as int" issue
- Better file layout which doesn't modify PYTHONPATH (Max Ulidtko)
