the Game Networking Engine (development headers)

GNE, or the Game Networking Engine, is a cross-platform, multithreaded, C++ networking library with an API specifically addressing the needs of game networking.

There are two parts of GNE, the first being the mid-level classes that handle packeted, error checked, and bandwidth throttled communication between two peers.

This package contains the development libraries and headers.

GNE 0.70 to current
  GNE generates the appropriate error message when a HawkNL method returns
    NL_SYSTEM_ERROR, when it did not include the details before. Thanks to
    David Guthrie for the patch.
  Workaround issue when HawkNL returns a system error code 9 when it should
    have reported NL_INVALID_SOCKET. Appears that this happens only on
