FM-radio tuner for the GNOME desktop
Gnomeradio is a FM-radio tuner for the GNOME desktop.
It should work with every FM tuner card that is supported by video4linux.
Remote controls are supported via (optional) LIRC-support.
Gnomeradio can also record radio as a Wave, MP3 or Ogg files.
Yeah, yet another gtk+ radiotuner *ggg*
Don't ask me why i wrote it, just thought it would be fun.
Installation is the same as always:
make uninstall (if you don't like it)
Note: You now need intltool to compile gnomeradio.
The configure-script should detect lirc automagically, but if
it doesn't, give --enable-lirc a try.
For more info on lirc, check README.lirc
What is Lirc?
Lirc (Linux Infrared Remote Control) adds support for infrared remote controls
to linux applications. To download lirc and for more info visit http://www.lirc.org.
Gnomeradio & Lirc:
Gnomeradio supports lirc by default. If you are compiling from source, it should detect
it automagically. If not, use the --enable-lirc=yes/no switch of configure.
The standard .rpm of gnomeradio is l
Since version 1.1 gnomeradio is able to record from the tuner-device
as mp3 or wav. I have not tested this very extensivly, though. At
the moment only lame and bladeenc are supported, though most of the
time I used lame, so probably you will more likely encounter problems
with bladeenc. If anyone is interessted in more encoders, please email
me (I plan support for oggenc in a following version).
