Note: If you have no idea what a port/stealth scan is, It's recommended to have a look at http://sf.net/projects/sentrytools/ before installing this package. Otherwise you might easily block hosts you'd better not (e.g. your NFS-server, name-server, etc.).

portsentry for Debian ---------------------- See README.install for the various detection modes. Note: if you use dynamic IPs (e.g. dhcp), be sure to restart the daemon, after you received your IP using "/etc/init.d/portsentry restart". The portsentry.ignore file is then rebuild using "ifconfig -a". If you use ppp there is no need to do so, since scripts in /etc/ppp/ip-*.d/ handle this for you. more»
