Multiple URL access method for dselect

This package provides a dpkg access method similar to dpkg-ftp. The Perl LWP module is used as the network access library. Any LWP supported URL may be specified as the download site (ftp:, http:, and file: are the most common). Multiple sites may be specified, as well as a web proxy.

   If the configuration prompts are too inflexible, the configuration
file /var/lib/dpkg/methods/http/vars may be edited by root.  If this
file does not exist when you select Access, the default site will be
the same as dpkg-ftp (if dpkg-ftp is configured) or a default web
archive.  The distributions will default to main, contrib, and
non-free from dists/unstable.  Proxies default to the the value
