What is this?
C-Mix/II is a *partial evaluator* (or, as it is also called, a
*program specializer*) for the C language. It takes a C program
and (commonly) also some of its input and tries to produce a
faster, but equivalent, C program, utilizing the fact that some
of the program's variables will have known values so that some
of the program's actions can be precomputed.
Please read these notes if you redistribute C-Mix other than
just passing our tarballs on unchanged.
The source for C-Mix/II is generally freely redistributable;
see the file COPYING.cmix for the exact details.
There is, however, some exceptions which in some cases may
limit your ability to legally redistribute source archives
or compiled binaries:
1. The sour
This file describes how the manpages for cmix and cmixshow are made
and maintained. Its status is that of an internal developer note; it
is meant to be read with the mentioned files and the makefile
within easy reach for reference.
The manpages are extracts of the full user manual; the LaTeX sources
for it contain special markup to show which sections of the use
