UPS Monitor Program
Upsd is a UPS monitor program. It supports both local monitoring of a
UPS that is directly connected to the computer's serial port and remote
monitoring over a network. Remote monitoring is done by polling the
master upsd (the one with the direct serial connection to the UPS).
There are a number of options to control the poll interval and the delay
upsd for DEBIAN
Please follow the instructions in the original readme. The setup is all
prepared for you. Just make sure /etc/init.d/ups refers to the correct
serial port and then start it with

upsd -- UPS monitor daemon.
/sbin/upsd [options] serial-device | host-name
Upsd is a daemon process that sits in the background and mon‐
itors the state of the DCD and CTS lines of the specified
serial device. These lines are to be connected to a UPS
