Upgrading from Debian Lenny to Debian Squeeze
KDE 4 applications on Debian Lenny use ~/.kde4 directory to store user settings
and data. However, this has changed in Debian Squeeze. Once kdelibs5 package is
upgraded (or multiple new lib* packages repace it), all newly started KDE 4
applications will switch to using ~/.kde directory for this purpose.
Each public library that is built from the kde4libs source package should be
put into the separate binary package. The only exceptions to the rule are
1) do not make sense to be bundled separately due to their tiny/small size or
very tight coupling to another public library (e.g. libkdefakes.so.5 in
2) do not install public headers
kde4libs (4:4.4.4-1) unstable; urgency=low
pkg-kde-tools has been dropped from kdelibs5-dev Depends. If your packages
need it at build time, please add it (appropriately versionned) to the
Build-Depends of your packages.
HTML_INSTALL_DIR path has been switched from /usr/share/doc/kde4/HTML to
/usr/share/doc/kde/HTML. If you refer to usr/share/doc/kde4/ anywhere in the
