Beautify your X login screen
XBanner is a program designed to beautify your X login screen.
It can draw text and render some effect on it, and it can fill
the background with a nice pattern of colors. XBanner can also
put an image on the screen for you, as well as do some minimal

xdm, gdm & wdm.

To try out XBanner for the first time, you can use the XBanner demo.
Start X, and in an xterm, run:
A popular use of xbanner is to make it run when xdm ro gdm are run, to
beautify the login screen. I can modify some files to make this work,
if you want.
To do this, please execute 'xbannerconfig install' as roo
*** Important: Do not suspend the demo with CTRL-Z. Either let it finish,
or stop it with CTRL-C.
There are 2 versions of the 'Demo' script. The default one is a csh-style
script. If you don't have csh, 'Demo.bash' is included, which should be
completely sh-compatible. Demo.bash was converted from the csh version by
Uwe Khatchikian <firstname.lastname@example.org>. Many thanks!
