change the characteristics of an xterm
xtermset allows you to change the characteristics, such as title and
geometry, of an xterm window from the command line. Most options have
the same names as those that you would give xterm at startup.

xtermset - change settings of an xterm
xtermset [-option ...]
xtermset allows you to change the characteristics of an xterm
window from the command line. Most options have the same
names as those that you would give xterm at startup.
terms - database of blessed terminals for xtermset.
The terms database is a file whichs tells xtermset which ter‐
minals are controllable.
terms is usually located in /usr/share/xtermset and it is an
ASCII file. A blessed terminal is described in one line.
