<H3><A NAME="s3">3. Checking a URL for Updates</A></H3>

<P>Once you have entered a URL into the KWebWatch database, the program will
automatically poll that address whenever the specified interval has elapsed.
You can also force a check manually by selecting "Check Now" from the "URL"
menu.
<P> 
The first time your new URL is checked, KWebWatch will always report that an
update was found.  This is reflected in the main window by the URL moving to
the top of the list and appearing in blue text with a yellow star icon next to
it.  If no update is found, the URL moves to the bottom of the list, and appears
in black text, with a green ball icon next to it.  If an error occurs during
the check, the URL is listed in red text.  URLs that have not been checked
since KWebWatch was last launched apear with a black ball next to them.
