.SH SYNOPSIS
.B smirc [-u userid] [-v]

The only popular missing function is DCC.
.PP
\fISmIRC\fP has its own HTML help pages.
Therefore, this manual page contains the bare minimum information
required to get it up and running.
\fISmIRC\fP needs to know the command used to launch an external
HTML browser.
Choose \fISetup\fP from the \fIHelp\fP menu, then enter the command.
The command must launch the HTML browser in the background.
\fISmIRC\fP will substitute any occurence of the @ character with
the filename of the initial index.html file.
A suitable default is provided with the \fISmIRC\fP distribution.
Another possible command is:
.sp 2
xterm -e lynx @ &

\fISmIRC\fP's appearance is highly customizable via its resource file.

.SH BUGS
.PP
If you send a private message, and the nickname no longer exists, the
error message appears in the main server window (as most other error
messages).
Unless you have the server window visible, you will not be aware of the
fact that you are talking into thin air.
If you have a misfortune of using a private message window, you may be
totally oblivious for quite some time, that your messages aren't going
anywhere.
