.TH PMS 1 "16 May 1996" Linux "Linux Programmer's Manual"
.SH NAME
splitscreen \- Split Screen ttylink client
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B splitscreen [-nLINES] [-lLOGFILE] [-tATTRIBS] [-sATTRIBS] [-eATTRIBS] [-dDEBUGFILE] hostname [service]
.SH DESCRIPTION
.LP
.B Splitscreen
is a telnet-like client intended for two-way interactive communication. It is
intended to be used with ttylinkd or conversd.
.B Splitscreen
uses NCURSES for screen formatting, and features line editing, a session
scrollback buffer, and an option to save session text to a logfile.
.SH OPTIONS
.TP 10
.BI \-n<LINES>
Change the number of lines saved in the buffer. Default = 500.
.TP 10
.BI \-l<LOGFILE>
Saves all lines sent or received to the specified file. If the file already
exists, it is opened in append mode.
.TP 10
.BI \-t<ATTRIBS>
Display attributes of the received text. See the
.B ATTRIBS
section below. Defaults to normal.
.TP 10
.BI \-s<ATTRIBS>
Display attributes of the sent text. See the
.B ATTRIBS
section below. Defaults to bold.
.TP 10
.BI \-e<ATTRIBS>
Display attributes of the edit window. See the
.B ATTRIBS
section below. Defaults to bold.
.TP 10
.BI \-d<DEBUGFILE>
Saves some nonsense to the specified debug file. I used this option to
help straighten out the scrollback feature, and it is probably useless now.
.SH ATTRIBS
The display attributes are specified in the format:
[fgcolor[:bgcolor]:mode,
where fgcolor is the color of text, and bgcolor is the color of the background.
Colors are black, red, green, yellow, blue,
magenta, cyan, or white.
Modes are normal, standout, underline, reverse,
blink, dim, or bold.
.SH BUGS
There is not edit-buffer history.
.SH "SEE ALSO"
.BR ttylinkd (8),
.BR conversd (8).
