Summary : Text mode program for playing audio CD Roms
Description :
WorkBone is an interactive control panel in text-mode to play audio CDs
under Linux. It is a text-modus interface to the "hardware.c" module of
the X11 CD program WorkMan. WorkBone is designed to easily play audio
CDs in text-mode under Linux. WorkBone intentionally doesn't have all
the features WorkMan has. It is intended for people who want to listen
to their music with as little expense as possible.
WorkBone uses the number block as a control panel to enable jumping
from track to track, play CDs, stop, etc. Furthermore, the actual
playing time is permanently actualized and displayed.
WorkBone works with most CD-ROM drives. But there still are some NEC
CD-ROMs that don't work because they use non-standardized audio
commands which result in a malfunction of WorkBone.
WorkBone expects to find the device: /dev/cdrom . If you don't have
this device, change to /dev and soft link your current CD-ROM device
to 'cdrom'.
